Obedience training tips for July 2007. Socialization &
interaction is a very important part of
any puppy’s upbringing & lack of these skills can be reflected in
the dog’s behavior & temperament. Your furry kid MUST learn to interact with other dogs & animals as well as human, particularly children from young. Group training & puppy play classes are excellent ways to teach your dog socialization skills as they get to meet other dogs and people. Visit your friends who have dogs or puppies & enjoy a chat whilst the dogs enjoy their playtime. If you do not have children at home, bring your dogs or puppies to the children playground, parks, beaches or anywhere that you know will have children playing. Let your dogs or puppies watch the children play, run, scream, touch & etc to let him get used to their loud noises & rough handling so that your dogs or puppies learn to accommodate with them. This is vital as it will prevent your furry kid from turning aggressive in future when being approached by children. By exposing your dogs or puppies sufficiently to all the above will work wonders by molding them to become the most amicable & good temperament dogs. Good piece of advice from Faith. |
